Prayer

An Invitation to Pray

Thank you for visiting this page to see how you might partner with us in a special way through prayer so that the Lord will use Iwa to be instrumental in bringing about a spiritual breakthrough to the minds and hearts of people of Japanese and other Asian ancestries here in the United States.

Prayer is foundational to any effective ministry. Unless God is at work through Iwa, whatever we do is in vain. Nothing of real spiritual or eternal significance will happen. The ministry may appear to be effective and successful, but lives will not be transformed by the Spirit of Christ and the Lord will not be glorified.

It is not how much, how often or the words we use that makes the difference. Prayer is a gift from God. Prayer is more for us than for God. When we express what we truly and honestly think, feel and believe to God (which He is already aware of), and our utter dependance upon him to meet what we or others need, the Lord responds in the most loving and best way possible. His response is not always, or even often, the way we expect, but he does always respond. In fact, God is already working to meet our needs and those of others. He is often simply waiting for us to call upon Him so that we will recognize how he is working so we will be strengthened in our reliance upon him and our worship will increase.

By filling out the Prayer Response Form to the right, we will make sure you receive the following:
  • The Iwa Family Update, our occasional prayer letter by email or snail mail, whichever you choose.
  • Stepping Stones, Iwa's semi-annual newsletter that goes out to keep our broadest constituencey informed about how the Lord is working through Iwa.
  • Special prayer requests for current, specific and especially crucial or critical needs, and news of special answers to prayer or items warranting extraordinary praise.
