Professional Services

Iwa is a faith ministry that is funded almost entirely by the freewill gifts of individuals and churches. As such, Iwa does not have a great deal of funds available to hire professional services. Most of what Iwa does is done internally by the Iwa staff. When nobody on staff knows how to do something, our first instinct is to try to learn how to do whatever it is ourselves and then do it. Normally, it is only when we have tried and failed that we  try the next alternative. We pray and search for someone who is willing to volunteer their services by doing what we need done during those few moments they have available after all their other priorities receive their attention. This alternative often results in long waits and unfinished work. As a last resort, we pray that the Lord would provide the funding necessary that would enable us to hire a professional do the job for us. We usually go with the lowest bid which means that they are either highly competent but giving us a break by taking us on as a low priority job or they are in need of the job because they are either new or less competent. Generally, our experience of hiring low cost professional help has not been very helpful. They have taken "forever," and often their work hasn't been very satisfactory. That leaves us with another and, hopefully, better alternative.

We are looking for a variety of competent professionals who would be willing to offer their services at their normal rate, considering us a high priority client, and, once they receive payment from us for their completed work for us, donate a percentage of their fee or the equivalent amount back to Iwa so they then can receive a tax deduction for their donation which, in effect, would essentially enable them to receive a tax deduction for some or all of  the services they provided to Iwa.  Are you willing to prayerfully consider whether the Lord might be leading you to partner in this way with us so Christians and churches are able to more effectively reach Japanese Americans and others of Asian ancestry for Christ?

Some of the professional services we need most at this time are as follows:
  • Social Networking
  • Marketing
  • Accounting
  • Videography
  • Print on demand
  • Fund development
  • Graphic design
  • Still photography
